The Parade goes rain or shine. There is no make up date if weather precludes the parade.
All the money raised stays right here in Wadsworth to worthy charities.
While we could not do the event without the City, the event is run exclusively by volunteers.
Blue Tip Helps Wadsworth
Every year the Blue Tip Committe distributes thousands of dollars back to worthy causes. These causes include large contributions to the Salvation Army and FISH to modest contributions for classroom activities of local schools. Nearly all of the money stays here in Wadsworth.

Local Business Support Big
Part of the reason the Blue Tip Festival is so successful is because of the help of local businesses by way of sponsorship. Businesses can sponser rides at the park, or even the whole festival. Blue Tip Committee could not do the great things it does without the help of these fine companies.

Blue Tip Festival Celebrates it's 42nd Year

The Blue Tip Festival is a five day celebration of the Wadsworth, Ohio community. It starts with a world class parade and the lighting of a giant, twenty foot blue tip match which lights downtown Wadsworth during the festival's duration. The festival then offers attendants their choice of amusement rides, festival foods, midway games, contests, and other entertainment.
